This is the JABO site that I use for bomb dropping. Upper dot is for guns, lower dot is for bombs and rockets in roughly a 50-70 degree dive. I use it in the P51D, F4U's, Jugs, and a few others. Try it out, you might like it!

Waystin,
Thats a 128x128 bitmap with a center dot and a 50Mil radius dot for a 100Mil ring or the 100Mil ring from the N9 gunsight in the P51B. WW2 rule of thumb for rockets and bombs was a shallow dive at speed and launch rockets or drop the bomb just as the target touched the bottom of the ring or on the hood. Diving at 90 degree use the center dot.
I've down loaded hundreds of gunsights from WB's sqauds to today's special AH squad packs. I've pulled them all up offline and they all do exactly the same thing. They describe the two points in your gunsight either by using two dots or some variation on retro 60's line art that only makes sense to the original creator.
What you have there is the ALPHA haze mask file for a two file Alpha glow gunsight that HiTech discontinued allowing with the release of AHII. The Alpha slider in the gunsight application takes the place of that.
This is why I researched and found all of the historic gunsights by country and use them. What you are using is called the Beaumont Modification. It was created by a Brisith Tempest pilot to reduce glare and view clutter for rocket attacks. Because we cannot move the center dot in the game from guns attack mode to rocket attack mode like the original MkIIL or TypeI MkIII. Everyone eventualy creates the two dot gunsight.
I've posted here a modified MkIII 100Mil diameter two micro ring that gets rid of the thick white haze rings. With the Alpha slider full left the rings are orange yellow luminous. Place both files in your sights directory.
I've finally figured out how to take advantage of the gunsight alpha to make the rings glow more like incandesant back lit color pictures I have from WW2.-bustr-
