Sorry I have been absent lately, not even on the boards.. had quite a scare last week. All of a sudden my pulse went nutzoid, like 170 beats per min, for no apparant reason.. well it turns out that, I have had undiagnosed high blood pressure for abt 5 years they estimate. this has thickened the walls of my heart, and caused me to go into what they call ATRIAL Fibrillation. Not Vfib, where they zap ya, but atrial, basically the HBP had made my heart so tired it didnt want to keep beating, but the ventricles do so (due to autonomous systems blah blah) but the atriums shut down. As soon as they got my BP down my rythm went back to normal and I was fine, but I am prone to have this again, until my heart has returned to normal. (about 1-3 months) so now I get to join the ranks of you old pill oppers and take my BP medication every morning hehe.. Luckily, this A-fib will cease to be an issue over the next few months, even a week or two should be a marked decrease in risk for me to have it again... sounds scary as hell, and if you dont know what it is, it IS SCARY as hell, but the docs said it is very common, and is usually the first sign someone has that they have High Blood Pressure, if they dont haave it checked regularly.
