Over 1,000 pigs are feared lost in the recent flooding in Iowa. However, a band of intrepid pigs caught in the flood waters fought long and hard to survive the disaster. However, a Sheriff's deputy thought that they posed a danger, and shot them all, leaving their bodies out to rot.

A sad and tragic end to a brave tale of pig heroism. Here is a link to this news story:

Sounds like that town is only big enough for one type of pig.

Yeah that is pretty fucked up. And my only guess on why the guy shot him as ''threat'' was thought it picked up some sort of diease from the water or something. Guy is still idiot though

What really struck me was how smart these pigs were. Did you watch the video, and see how they had climbed up on top of the roof of that house, in order to escape the flood?

Now just how the heck could they do that? And how would they have even been smart enough to figure out that was what they needed to do??

I think that the cows probably must have all drowned. There were no cattle spotted on rooftops anywhere. :D :D

Photo,

I saw a show on National Geographic on Pigs. It says that they are one of a few species that can go from a completely domesticated life to living in the wild in about 2-3 weeks with great success. You think only roaches will be left after a nuclear war? Think again, there will be lot's of Pigs too!
