I figured I was crazy after my little run in with GI Joe and his inept poser posse, but check out the link above, and the video: looks like US military personnel breaking up a Rave. While they could be police wearing cammo, I don't think so.. cops, even all geared out for riot business, don't carry water or other unnecessary gear military guys do, and cops are supposed to abide by the concepts of Sir Robert Peel, the "father" of modern law enforcement... none of them are easily ID'd by "the color of authority" (police patches / badges), name tags and all that.

Another reason I don't believe they were police, there was no order to disburse. Legally people gathered in an "assembly" need to be told they are part of an "unlawful assembly" and given time to leave. An unlawful assembly is a misdemeanor, ergo refusal to disburse is a misdemeanor committed in the presence of the police, and is arrest able. These dudes just charged in and as you can see, started putting hands & boots on people.

It used to be illegal for US troops to take police action on US soil, as per Posse Comitatus Act of 1878... but GW did away with that by declaring US soil a "battle ground" against the so called war on terror.

Damn X- that was very VERY well written, and thought provoking.
