Dive bombing with the F6F, P47 and P51 class planes.
ordinance: two 1 thousand pound bombs and maximum rocket load out.
try to start your dive run at 8 thousand feet. you want to make your dive as steep as you can, this is the key. a shallow dive required more experience using the gun sight for your target. Keep in mind a near vertical dive is very hard to pull out from and aim from. so be more than 55 degrees but less than 90 degrees.
To take out a hanger with one pass, set your salvo to the number of rockets your carrying. get comfortable with the way your ordinance is selected with your stick. its guns, bombs, rockets, back to guns. you need to be comfortable with that because if your slow and cumbersome with the selection you'll hit the ground after release.
Ok here we go, your at around 6-8 thousand your salvo is set and you have your two bombs selected, you have spotted your target and got a good position to make a very steep dive (not as easy as it sounds takes practice). once you push your stick over into your dive, you must acquire your target as fast as possible. line up the bottom outer circle of your gun sight on target, hold until your plane reaches maximum velocity, once you can hear the wind over your wings your going fast enough, no need to look at your speed dials, too much going on too fast for that crap. just listen for the wind sound over your wings and canapee. ok your up to speed your target is at the bottom of you gun sight, release your bombs. Now quickly switch to rockets (should be just one toggle of ords) place your target dead center on gun sight and fire, don't forget to wait that 1 second or so to let them all fire. now pull the hell out and hope you've done all that quick enough to survive. I can guarantee if you've aimed properly the hanger is down. if your slow to aim, your down too...lol
now when in your dive, if you feel you dont have a lot of altidide, chop your throttle. this will give you a few more seconds to line up your sights. Dont forget to throttle back up after your release to pull out, and dont forget to let the plane get up to proper drop speed. remember wait to hear the wind sound.
