Low yo-yo reversal

Last night when fighting Bruv, I saw him pull a low yo-yo reversal. How is it done (stick inputs)? What are the setup steps and cues for timing it right (from the cockpit perspective)?

Any videos, tips, tricks would be helpful.

From my understanding a "low yo yo" in itself isnt a reversal, what is it he did along with the yo yo. If I got a faster plane coming in on my 6 Ill do a nose down turn to get some E up and when I see the enemy is starting to overshoot Ill go into the vertical and try to force scissors with them. If his move was anything like I mentioned just now the best way to beat it is not go with his turn, stay high and work the BNZ till he runs himself out of E and you can capitalize.

Well, what I noticed is that it gave bruv the a situation where on the next merge, his nose was already pointed up where mine was pointed down, giving him the adv, all he had to do was roll over and take the shot.


The steps that I saw were....
1) bruv and I merged
2) I pulled up to immelman over to him, he did a low yo-yo. When I did the immelman, I just barly made it over the top.
3) when we merged again his nose was already pointed up, mine was pointed down.


Now, when I try to do that, it never works. I can't drop the nose to the yo-yo and pull back up into the enemy in time to gain an advantage.
Ques to getting the timming right would be greatly appreciated.

Alright I didnt think it was on a merge....he flat turned merged you in sorts. You need to either go into the flat turn with him instead of immelmening or you got to go for the rop on him which can be hard if he can handle his E. Whats hes doing is baiting you down to him to blow your E. He isnt losing E as fast as you are immelmening he is retaining it and losing sdome to drag, so when you come down from alt he has E to preform a reverse where you dont have as much...so you got to go UP and hope you can rope him:salute:
