What plane should I learn next?

I have been flying simulators for along time now. I started out in flight simulator and moved into things like air warrior, war birds, etc... I have been in aces high off and on since launch.

My favorite plane in air warrior was the p38. In aces high I started flying the 190d (well ok LA7 but, everyone did right?), moved to the p51 for awhile, throw in a Hurricane IIC when we are being camped and now I am pretty much purely a KI84 pilot. I am mainly an energy fighter, little bnz, and very little t&b.

I recently watched dogfight episodes about the Corsair and P38 so I am pumped up and want to learn something new. I know the P38 is no where as good as it was in air warrior. Maybe because its more realistic here?.. I know the Corsair is a good plane, but I see some talk over flying the f6f instead. I also see guys in the tempest survive so much so that kind of interests me. I’ve never flown a typhoon or tempest.

I know this is question is all based on opinion but, what would you guys suggest?

I have flown every plane in the game many many MANY times. As you know for me it's all about the KI84 when it comes to my standard aircraft. It does so many things well and some things great. In real life I have always admired the p38 and if you learn it, it's an amazing plane in this game. Some guys are nearly unbeatable in it. I can fly it very well in here but my gunnery in it sucks. Plus it makes a big target.

If you manage your E correctly, should should almost NEVER get killed in a TEMP. It is a pure BnZ machine with ridiculous speed. Don't get suckered into turning it and you'll rarely die. Same thing with the pony.

The f6f is a fav of mine within the game. Great at many many things and turns pretty well. The f4u and the f6f are rather similar in that regard. Plus you can get VERY slow in an f4u by learning to use the flaps and the gears.

Try flying both of those planes.

Ok,i think i can help you out with your problem.Having flown many figters in a mny tours.I have flown the P51D/B P38J/L and the most newest the F6F.From what i have read i think the F6F is the plane for you.The F6F has a good climb rate keeps it E better them most.Can dive at a top speed of about 500mph without locking up.Also is is manoverable.I have OUTTURNED ki-84's and LA7's kept up with a spitfire just long enought to get a shot off at his wing.The F6F i think is just right for you.I know jolly's going to kill me but vs a KI-84 the f6f WILL WIN if the piolt has skills.

Now for the E-management.The f6f is good NOT the best in the game but good at geting it's E back up.Diving from say 12K if you make a pass and zoom back you you'll at least get 9K back out of it.

Pick the F6F ill help you with it.
