Ok, so you knew there were a couple of high guys lurking about but you couldn't resist one more kill at the enemy base( and the guy needed killing). You pop him and begin egress at a nice clip but find a high con diving on you and gaining fast.

You are in a fast plane,(pick one) it doesn't turn that good, and your egress is an uphill or maybe even just level. If you pull a hard evasive you will be set upon by a handful of cons coming from the base. The con diving on you out-turns you, out-climbs you, and out accelerates your plane. Let's assume you'd like to avoid giving a kill to the 4 or 5 guys that will jump you if you get pinned near the base. Are you stuck? What do you do?

OK, now watch this short film(1.5 mins) and see what I did. Tell me if it's what you answered.

Hmmm I enjoy viewing and learning from other's films. I guess the POTW do things differently.

Oh well. Skull, I didn't chop throttle.. I had WEP on though. :) I had one advantage here that I could exploit. The 51's high speed handling vs. the 109's near compression. As you can see, I hardly make a move at all and I don't even wiggle until the 109 must be sure he has me. Then I just sort of duck a little, but change direction enough that he will have to pull hard to get back on my 6... burning some of his E in the processs... just enough to let me slip away. There's a lot of guys who go through remarkable ACM's.. pretty flying to be sure. I just try to use my head....not a lot of fancy stick work for me. <S>

Steve ya gotta forgive me.For one I am the worst stick in the squad.I was Watching the film and thought I heard you back down on throttle.I never was into the technical side.I am trying to change now and learn to be a good fighter stick. Also I was on oxycontin and percocet to deal with the pain,so my head is quite fuzzy.I dont know what view you can use to see the opponents view as I was watching in chase view.

I love watching other films especially from good pilots, you fly alot like me I dont know how to get angles on anyone really I just "do me". Knowing E seems to be the way to rack up the kills in the MA, When I fly a Temp I do this alot because I know if I throw him off just alittle bit he aint catching me in the sprint. <S> Steve good vid for training:salute:

oh btw how many kills did you have there they looked mad at you :D
