I will do you one better BillyD. Start upping Wirbel sorties with me. Practice makes perfect. I think I now have RangerFL addicted to my baby. I do have a 16 kill sortie on film, but it is a huge file, advise me and I can upload it to sight where you can download it. Also, read my post in training section it is a complete brain dump. Name of the article is "LTARS Got Nothing on this Pig(Ostwind Write-up)" and I bumped it to the top for ya. See ya tonight my man.

I would love to see him do it too. I simply can't get the kills going on the ground (although I have been getting better with a Panzer against other tanks). I'd love to see some examples so I can see how it's done.
Little request to anyone with some knowledge: has anyone figured out how to use both your mouse and your joystick for GVs? I play a lot of first-person shooter type games so I know I'd be much better firing my Wirble if I could aim the turret with my mouse. But I want to use my joystick for the rest of the ground game.
I figured it should be possible to set up a second GV configuration that runs on mouse and switch to it once I roll to a stop but I can't make it happen.
Maybe I'll just switch all GV action to mouse so I can take advantage of that aiming style when I'm not in a plane.
Tks,

So I hadn't rolled in an OSTI really since the WW came out. I've had numerous 20+ kills sorties in the WW but always ended up dead one way or the other. Anyhow, since I hadn't taken an OSTI out in awhile I rolled a few sorties the other night. A 9 kill sortie was the best one of the 5 or so I rolled. I also got a kill at 2k out. I've had OSTI kills a few times in the 2.5k range. The furthest I have ever hit anything with the WW was 1.5ish and rarely expend too much ammo at targets beyond 1k. The truth of the matter is this. At PBR (point blank range), roughly 1k or less, the WW is hard to beat for sheer amount of ammo put in the sky- a real killer. Whereas the OSTI can reach out further and it only takes 1 round to put your lights out. They are both awesome, they both have their uses, one you just have to lead the target a lot more with.
So sayeth JoLLY :D

Good God man, that's sick. No way I'm watching all of it, but that was some sweet fighting. Have you changed your aiming style since then or did the movie move the crosshair back in the way?
Definitely learned some techniques though. I'll have to practice.
Thanks for posting!

I have not changed the way that I aim on the Wirbel or Ostwind. When you watch the film see if you can check "Use recorded views". This should set it up as I see it.
